UI/UX Portfolio
In previous work experience there seems to have always be times that I am asked if I can do UI/UX design and development and I have always been hesitant to say yes. However after thorough research and working on a few projects, some for work and some personal. I would no longer be hesitant to say yes when that question will inevitably come up again.
Skip The Dishes (Personal Redesign)
This was a project that I came up with and worked on over a couple days while in self isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Skip The Dishes was an app that I used a little more often than I normally would have. And in using it I found that although I liked the base functionality and thought the app worked well for what it was, I couldn’t help but notice that the aesthetics of the whole thing could be better (in my opinion). So I took it upon myself to do a critique of the app design and redesign it to look more modern while keeping the underlining functionality that brought me to use the app in the first place.
Digital Kiosk (City of Coquitlam)
While working for a engineering consultant agency that was doing a lot of work with the city of Coquitlam in British Columbia. I got the opportunity to design a UI for these digital kiosks which are to be placed near city “hot spots” such as train stations, large parks, recreational areas etc.
